New life to an old purse

What to do when your favourite purse looks faded, the paint has been broken on some parts, just because you have used it too often?
You can throw it away OR give it a new life with some crochet.
I bought this purse four years ago in a second hand shop, so I just have actually managed to give it a third life.
I used 100 gr of Wibra's grey shiny yarn and glued the crochet at the edges of the purse.

Spring and Sunshine

What a lovely weather we have! I went outside to work on my new crochet project.
This was the view from the bench I was sitting on:

Although she probably was only intrested in my biscuits...anyway, still  a good company together with these sheep behind me:

 Some of them would deliver some nice wool...

It definitely needs to be blocked.

It will be shawl, what else.
Here you can see the pattern, which will look amazing after the blocking... at least hoping so.

Toddler dress from a T-shirt

We are not yet the best friends with my new sewing mashine, so I try to improve my skills with easy projects. This one is the upcycling of a man T-shirt to a dress for the almost one year old Tamara. With the crochet parts I could also hide some of my beginner sewing faults.

Crochet Flowers

This week I crocheted many little flowers. I didn't exactly know for what purpose, I found relaxing to make them. Today I glued almost all of them on a canvas, so the purpose has been found:
voilá, my new wall decoration for the springtime.

Crochet for Feet 'n Legs

Although it's not really cold anymore, it's still nice to have warm crochet socks for home and a few legwarmers for the long walks in the nature.
I didn't bother to find a pattern, just put them on many times while crochetting to see if the size would be alright.

Used yarns from Wibra and Zeeman.

And yes, back to business, after a long silence on this blog.
It's quite a struggle to decide which project to start with, as I have been crocheting so much...
so, let me first show this guy, sitting right next to me.

Crocheted as X-mas present for Kelvin. I was inspired by the Amineko's seen on Pinterest, just preferred to make a bear, for we already have a cute cat (a real one).
I used the Tweed yarns of Zeeman, loving their colors and thickness.
This beige cushion was by the way my first knitting project using thick Hema yarn.

Holiday Time

Busy making a baby blanket for my little niece, she will be born in June, so I'm still on time...

Crochet Clutch

Made of granny squares with cotton yarn. I will use it in the summer with a summer dress and will be looking almost as a star on the red carpet.... at least that`s the plan.

My New Blanket

My new crochet blanket : I used these calm beige colours which became my favorite in the last time. It's such rustic blanket and most importantly, also soft and warm. So cozy to sit under it while watching tv or reading a book.

Here before blocking (after blocking it got larger: 125x95cm).
Our cat fell instantly in love with it. He found it such a nice structure,

that he fell in trance:) Fat, happy cat:)

Enjoying the Spring

With flowers from the garden and the first easter eggs and a cat who remembers us that if you have sunshine you have everything you need.

Puff Restyled

1. Take some yarn ( around 400 gr) and an old puff. Crochet and crochet a few evenings long, until you have five big squares.

 2. Sew them together and that's it. Isn't it gorgeous?
