Dutch Nature

After having spent a whole year in the Netherlands I finally realized, I have the most special Dutch nature reserve just here ''around the corner'', between Almere and Lelystad. It's called the Oostvaardersplassen and like the whole Flevoland, it's a polder, an area gained from the sea. Ever since it became land (or on most places a marsh), it has been a place for pure nature, has never been never used by people.
It's breathtaking nature with surprising diversity of species! And what made me aware of it? There is a beautiful nature film coming, De Nieuwe Wildernis showing the wild life on the Oostvaardersplassen.

I saw this trailer and said: I must go there!

So, we made a bike tour of 60 km...
And saw lots of wild horses..
And biked on the dam of the lake Markermeer...
And ohh, the famous Dutch air...
I absolutely fell in love with silhouette of the gooses...
 Aren't they beautiful?
