Making the November Colorfull

Let's see what I've been doing the last days...

I have a new crochet book with lots of flower and leaf pattern, so I've made a few of them.
I really like doing it, decided to make even more. Some would be also perfect for the Christmas decoration.

Finally, I had the time and the right colors for it: a winter hat for Kelvin.

I also made a quiet corner in the room; with a vase from the Action and my favorite drawing.
The storm of two weeks ago helped me finding the right branches:

And who said that you can not crochet on a leaf?

And again the granny squares, but now as a picture for the wall:

And finally doing some abstract painting, because it's fun:

From the Kringloop

I need to show this one too! I found this picture in the second hand shop /kringloop/ for just one Euro. It´s standing now on our mirror and we like it so much! I think this could be called a cheap pleasure...

A chapter for shawls

I love shawls, I have so many and I have crocheted so many, but it´s never enough...

Three times the same pattern with different colours:

Already wearing this one, this is the final form of the shawl already  posted before:

I made this last year and wore it the whole winter:

This royal blue one got ready last week, I haven´t yet worn it, but I like this kind of blue and yellow together:

Autumn shawl 2.

It will be a day with more than one posting, but I really can't wait to put here this beauty:

It's made from about 40 small square, so it wasn't my favorite part to sew them together ( I hate sewing so much), but once that done, the result is stunning.

Warm slippers

Oh-oh, it has been a while since I last posted something here. I have been busy with school, but now, I have a whole week freeeeee!! Autumn vacation will be used for making creative thingies and posting them,
so, let's get started!

Let's begin with my new winter slippers. Crocheted with chunky wool, white and purple (the sole is purple, just not really visible on the picture), washed them on 90°C, still got them only kind of felted.
As finishing touch, I made the two crocheted heads: Pippi and Omar:)

Dutch Nature

After having spent a whole year in the Netherlands I finally realized, I have the most special Dutch nature reserve just here ''around the corner'', between Almere and Lelystad. It's called the Oostvaardersplassen and like the whole Flevoland, it's a polder, an area gained from the sea. Ever since it became land (or on most places a marsh), it has been a place for pure nature, has never been never used by people.
It's breathtaking nature with surprising diversity of species! And what made me aware of it? There is a beautiful nature film coming, De Nieuwe Wildernis showing the wild life on the Oostvaardersplassen.

I saw this trailer and said: I must go there!

So, we made a bike tour of 60 km...
And saw lots of wild horses..
And biked on the dam of the lake Markermeer...
And ohh, the famous Dutch air...
I absolutely fell in love with silhouette of the gooses...
 Aren't they beautiful?

What is this?

You can put something in it...
weeell, almost, but not yet perfect...

 Yesss, it's an apple cozy!
For medium size apples, for work or school. Wondering, how I could live so long without it! And now, I have to make another one for Kelvin (he was first struggling between it's ridiculous or it's cool) and finally, decided he would like to have one, 'cause of course, it is cool!

Monday Morning Mood

A little acorn, a little bit of crocheting and a little bit of drawing and here you go, sleepy acorn boy:)
Egy kis makk, egy kis horgolás meg egy rajzocska, és már kész is az álmos Makk Marcika :)

Poncho

Last week's product: my first poncho.
I used to think that poncho's are wide things making woman plump. But I also wanted to make one, as it seemed such an easy crocheting project. To make sure it will be pretty, I tried it on almost after every row. And now, tadaaam, change of my life: I like my poncho! The autumn can start!
The colours are a bit different than on the picture, terracotta, jeans blue, deep purple and ivory white.

Holiday pictures from Portugal

It's been a long time since I last wrote here. I took a really long vacation and this week the school got already started.
It doesn't mean that I was not crocheting, of course I was busy as a bee, just no time for making photo's, but it's coming soooon!
Meantime, I thought I'd make a selection of the nicest pic's from our holiday in Portugal... Enjoy!
